CTA is currently seeking several Base Operations/Net Control team members to fill their seasonal, summer positions at the Pier 91 Smith Cove Cruise Terminal and at the Pier 66 Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal.

Summary
The Base Operations/Net Control position is responsible for both terminal and peripheral operations at either the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal (BSPCT), Pier 66 or the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal (SCCT), Pier 91. The primary responsibility of the position is that of "Base" for all radio communication on site, monitoring of the security system, and operation of the computer photo badging equipment.
The major responsibility is that of coordination and dissemination of information. The Cruise Terminal Operations Assistant will report to the Security & Operations Manager and Supervisor, and assist both as directed.
Schedule/Hours

Seasonal employment: Late April through September with some training in early April

Thursday - Tuesday at SCCT

Friday - Sunday at BSPCT (and some weekdays)

Hours may vary depending on operational needs

Qualifications,

Fast-paced operational experience preferred

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of other security and operations equipment helpful but not required; specific equipment training provided on job
Physical Demands

Sitting for two-thirds or more of time on cruise operation days

Must be available weekends or other non-business hours as required by cruise schedule

Commitment for entire cruise season required (May - September, some training in April)

Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
